History

History of the Organization

Mission 1 Care was born in May 2003 to meet the overwhelming needs of the orphaned and abandoned children, to expand Christianity by supporting and raising up missionaries, and to help sustain the existing churches in the least evangelized, most populated and poorest third-world countries. This non-profit organization was founded by Ike Asamoah Ansah, the Chairman of Mission 1 Care, who has been involved in working with orphans and supporting churches since 1983. Then in July 2009 a new wing called Calvary Hour was born. Calvary Hour Prayer Line is a global network of individuals who serve as a catalyst for the development of praying leaders, churches, communities and nations around the world. It is a technology based ministry that currently interconnects around the nations through telephone conferencing. This has become our tool for missionary minded people from every corner of the nation. We also serve as a liaison between churches and reaching out to the sick that are bedridden, in nursing homes and those who have become incapacitated.

Future Plans

Mission 1 Care‘s plans for the orphaned or abandoned children is to raise them to become the best at what God calls them to do and to give them the ability and opportunity to accomplish God’s call in their lives. Whether the child’s desire is to become a nurse, pastor, business owner, teacher, or orphan-care facilitator, they will be trained to understand that whatever they do, it is for the glory and advancement of God’s Kingdom.

The Need

In order to ensure the commitment of appropriate and sufficient resources, the magnitude of the problem must be identified.

  • UNICEF estimates the number of orphans at 210 million in the world today.
  • 86 million orphans in India
  • 44 million orphans in Africa by 2010
  • 10 million orphans in Mexico
  • 35,000 children die everyday from hunger and malnutrition.
